Day 20 - Cafe Carolina

Today's attendees included Matt, the Reg and Andrew. The best way to sum up Cafe Carolina is this: it's an overpriced favorite of Cary moms and professional women.

Matt and Andrew each had the Hawaiian BBQ Pork flatbread (pulled pork, pineapple, bacon, roasted onions and bbq sauce on a crisp, grilled crust). It's so sweet that it approaches having dessert for lunch. The Reg had, um, er, well, I can't remember. He'll have to add it to the comments.

Conversation was rather typical for a visit to Cafe Soccer Mom. Pattern was heavily discussed between Matt and Andrew. The Reg stayed mysteriously quiet. We talked about some side work that Reg does for the Board of Education in Chicago. After that, I'm pretty sure we went back to discussing pattern.

Do check out this page on their site that has testimonials of "Cafe Life". The pictures are evidence of pattern (of course). The best testimonial for many reasons comes from Laura:

"I first ate at Cafe Carolina when my parents and I came to visit Meredith. The salads are great! I've told all the girls at school about it. I always take cupcakes back to the dorm – everyone loves them!"

Andrew did pick up lunch for Sol, who still owes him (as of Monday, August 4th).

I had a sandwich, (don't remember which one) and a chocolate croissant. And it's the Chicago Public Schools system. Also I'd like to add that I don't think the food at this place is actually worth the atmosphere.
By the way, we also talked about how nice it is to eat lunch out in downtown...

the flatbread pizza is a favorite but @ $10.63 with a drink there is a serious premium on the ambiance.
