Day 10 - Welcome to Moe's!

Moe's. . . there isn't much to be said about this play. Reg, Penchuk, Solo, and myself made the trip. The food was adequate. I was very tempted to go Chicken Fajita Burrito for the Queso, but in the end I couldn't pull the trigger and went with the standby, Home wrecker.

Conversation was pretty morbid. We talked about my health problems and that I joined the Gym. Penchuk's strained hip flexor most likely caused by soccer, and Brandon's dog Kobi who was taken to the emergency vet, which is where Sol spent the night before helping Jennie. We also briefly talked about movies, specifically the new Batman movie that is coming out at the end of the week.

Pattern was minimal, but it did make an appearance or 2.

The conversation was pretty low key. I have found that Matt often drives some interesting conversations either with his strange outlook on life or his simple observations.

Before we left we talked about how fun it would be to screw a participant out of a lunch location that really like. Like going to El Do without me, or going to Randy's without the Reg. That may happen sometime in the future so attending lunch may become a priority.

We did talk at length about the Emergency Vet and the nightmare that Sol and Jennie had to endure while they were there with Kobi. We also talked about my high triglyds and penchuk hip/groin pain most likely not being a hernia but rather a strained hip flexor.

Excellent summation. Now that I look back at it, it definitely seems like a downer of a lunch.

I think screwing the Reg out of Randy's would be friggin' hilarious. My guess is that he'd drop out of the 40 lunches event.

One other thing that I proposed would be potentially taking a week or two break after 40 and extending this to 50 or 60.

The technical yet causal aspect of the last sentence of this post is leaving me in stitches. While I am not there, I almost feel like I am.

That brings up an interesting point. Some of these places have multiple locations in the area, think of it as a backup. IE: Moe's in briar creek or the Randy's on davis.
So in theory they could be hit up twice - once for each location, in case the affected party misses out on an outing.

Maybe the Backup should only be reserved for 'quality places' since there are several fast food places on the list and they should probably not be allowed backups. And maybe each person is allowed only one 'backup'.
Just a thought.

And no, I would not drop out.

Bret and I had a discussion about this. I believe the rules we decided on (as if we were the ones making the "rules") were:

* Chains - eat at one, they're all off the list
* Outlet Mall Food Court - Sol ate at Subway, but the way we have it listed is Outlet Mall Food Court. Therefore, Subway is still on the list.

I would agree with the "rules" Andrew has suggested. However it's listed on the wiki is how it should be followed, so outlet mall food court is an entity, and it doesn't matter what you eat there. It has no bearing on other food establishments that may be consumed in the future.

Sorry for the morbid conversation. Life isn't all that sweet on the home front. :-(
